Capacity Building

  • Capacity Building  builds institutions to support transparency, rule of law, and effective regulation to form a credible threat of prosecution for corrupt acts. A key objective is to develop a cadre of capacitated public officials who are independent of both private influence and political interference—and are proud of this independence. Changing institutions requires a transformation of existing individual behaviour and values.

  • Capacity Building to be tailored and offered to actors including:

    • representatives,

    • anti-corruption investigators

    •  prosecutors

    • judges.

  • Participants will

    • learn tools to investigate financial aspects of complex corruption crimes,

    • evaluate emerging trends in money-laundering schemes, crypto and integrity risks relating to financial technology to obtain evidence of illicit financial transactions

    • discuss effective inter-agency cooperation (domestic and international).
